Tomorrow Foundation and Ja Africa partner for the “Futurepreneurship” Education Program

Following their fruitful collaboration in 2018 for the Mini-Enterprises Business competition in Gabon and the JA Africa Company of the Year competition in Ghana, Tomorrow Foundation and JA Africa are glad to announce their partnership for a 3 year program called “Futurepreneurship”.

The program funded by the Foundation focus on development of entrepreneurial skills and innovation for high school students in Ghana, Gabon and Ivory Coast. It will be launched in April 2019 and reach totally over 1600 students. It aims at giving them a concrete experience of entrepreneurship and stimulating new career interests in a continent where millions of young people get unemployed upon completion of their studies.

Furthermore, the Foundation will support the Regional Company of the Year competition, including  a dedicated Innovation/Future Tech Prize awarded by the Foundation and be a funding founder for the work of JA Africa in Ivory Coast. 

Regarding this partnership, Maggie Gu, founder and Chairwoman of Tomorrow Foundation, declared “it is a privilege for the Foundation to pursue our successful partnership with JA Africa. We are glad to join our efforts to empower African youth and broaden its horizons. We strongly believe in the learning by doing principle, the resourcefulness of young African people and the need for Africa to have its own leaders in every field”.    

JA Africa regroups 14 member countries, provide activities in 1 669 schools through its staff, mentors and educators to develop meaningful student experiences and develop skills. JA Africa is a member of JA (Junior Achievement) Worldwide, one of the largest global organizations focused on the economic empowerment of youth founded in 1919. Through this grant, Tomorrow Foundation becomes one important donator for JA and will take part to JA coming Centennial Gala in Boston.
